Welcome to The Scrappy Quilter

Hi. I'm Lauren — The Scrappy Quilter. My quilt journey started eight years ago with a refurbished Brother sewing machine. Using some YouTube tutorials, I fumbled my way through my first project, a forest-themed baby quilt. With the confidence of someone who has never felt pain, I decided to quilt it myself with a topographical design on my tiny Brother machine. It wasn't my finest hour, but one good wash and it was crinkled and fantastic and passed on to be loved.

 

Eight years (and many quilts) later, I have a mission. I want to help you avoid what I went through on my first quilt — sweatily pushing a bulk of fabric through a domestic machine, missing stitches, and swearing. I've got the big guns, and I am here to help. Let's come up with a color scheme and a design that does justice to your hard work and makes it shine.
